What is?

World Youth Day (WYD) is a meeting, a pilgrimage, a party for young people from all over the world with the Pope.

The World Youth Day (WYD) is a meeting of young people from all over the world with the Pope. It is also a pilgrimage, a youth festival, an expression of the universal Church and a strong moment of evangelization of the world of youth. It is presented as an invitation to a generation determined to build a fairer and more supportive world. Despite its clearly Catholic identity, it is open to all, both those closest to the Church and those furthest from it.

This is the first WYD ClaretWay.

Around the World Youth Day, a World Meeting of Youth of the Claretian Family will be celebrated. This edition is prepared for the first time with the ClaretWay world youth network.

For our World Youth Encounter we convene from 16 years old (born in 2007 onwards) up to 30 years old. The average age of the participants is expected to be between 16 and 25 years old.

One more step in Family

Our participation in the World Youth Days (WYD) goes back. Some groups had participated in previous editions, and for the WYD Cologne (Germany) in the year 2005, there was already some coordination and encounter between groups of the Claretian orbit.

But is the WYD Madrid 2011, the one that catapults this event and makes it the great event for the youth of the FC. It makes it possible to take advantage of the dimensions of an event such as WYD so that young people live an experience of the Church, of catholicity, and to do so in a charismatic way, celebrating the gift received together.

WE ARE THE YOUNG VINEYARD... WHICH BURNS IN CHARITY!
